Since the age of two Maryah and Muriel Burris (Barton) always had an eye for talent. Both started off doing competitive cheerleading Senior Level 3 in 2008 for St. Louis Elite Athletics. Upon entering high school, Maryah moved on to compete nationally with Platinum Athletics Cheer Senior Level 4 and 5 while Muriel joined a Senior competitive dance group with AshleyLiane Dance Academy. While in high school and competing, both participated in all 3 levels of sideline cheerleading including freshman, JV and Varsity.
After high school, both competed collegiately for Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. During college both coached after school cheer teams, creating full routine and teaching fundamentals of tumbling. Upon moving to Melbourne, FL, both decided to take past talents learned to create a competitive cheerleading program called Royal Athletics Competitive Cheerleading Team, LLC in 2021.

Created in West Melbourne, FL. Maryah and Muriel had a passion to create a competitive cheerleading team that upholds the values and culture of what it takes to become a ROYAL . Strived to have a family of cheerleaders that are eager to learn and be leaders in the community through excellence and community service.
